• Perform comprehensive respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory disorders across ICU, ER, and general floors.
• Administer and manage mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive), including ventilator setup, adjustments, weaning, and patient monitoring.
• Deliver oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, CPT, suctioning, airway management, and bronchial hygiene therapies.
• Conduct ABG sampling, analysis, and interpretation to assist in treatment planning.
• Assist with intubations and extubations in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.
• Monitor and document patient responses to respiratory therapy interventions in [EMR system name] (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
• Educate patients and families on proper use of respiratory equipment (e.g., inhalers, nebulizers, home oxygen).
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and equipment sterilization procedures.
• Participate in rapid response teams and code blue situations, performing airway management and resuscitative measures.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP machines, oxygen delivery systems, and other respiratory equipment.
