QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have managerial experience overseeing respiratory department
• Must have Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), and current CPR Card
• Must have nursing home experience

• Planning, organizing, developing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Vent Unit and Respiratory Department
• Work directly with the Respiratory Therapy staff to provide top-quality respiratory care services to the patients in the unit
• Provide essential leadership and administrative support for the health organization as a whole
• Perform clinical assessments, which includes, but not limited to: BS, cough, sputum, dyspnea, pain, fever, hearing, skin color, vision, vital signs, circulation, spirometry, mental status, activity and medicine profile
• Responsible for routine patient follow-up contacts based on policy and procedures and individual patient needs
• Provide ongoing client visits for equipment maintenance and care planning
• Maintain good relations with clients and consults with referring physicians regarding patient treatment, medical conditions and home environments
