This is an Hourly position. Overview POSITION SUMMARY: The Respiratory Therapy Rehab Specialist will provide assessment, disease management education and individualized monitored exercise for patients with chronic lung diseases and other pulmonary limitations. The Respiratory Rehab Specialist will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the State of Illinois. Current National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapy credential if credentialed after July 2002. American Heart Association (BLS for Health Care Providers) Professional level of knowledge of practice and theory. Basic Computer Skills Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients, families, and the medical team members. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree from an approved institution. Two to three years of Respiratory Therapy Experience OSF HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
