GROUP SALES MANAGER – CANADIAN AND AMERICAN MARKETS

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Group Sales Manager for the Canadian and U.S. markets develops and manages the segment to achieve the hotel’s revenue and profit goals. He/She is responsible for prospecting, negotiating, and closing contracts while maintaining strong relationships with key clients and partners. In collaboration with various departments, he/she ensures the smooth execution of reservations and delivers an exceptional client experience at Four Seasons Montreal.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Develop and manage the group segment in order to achieve sales and profit targets.
  • Conduct prospecting calls, regular follow-ups, and marketing efforts in assigned regions.
  • Travel, including internationally, to solicit and secure contracts.
  • Negotiate with clients to maximize revenue and profits while meeting their needs.
  • Collaborate with revenue management to sell at the right price and the right time.
  • Create and maintain files for groups with high overnight potential.
  • Organize and lead hotel site inspections with meeting planners.
  • Promote the hotel’s image, generate additional business, and refer clients to other hotels within the group.
  • Represent the hotel at sales meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Ensure the smooth execution of group reservations and arrivals.
  • Participate in the development and execution of projects to increase sales activity.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the local competitive market and partner programs (Preferred Partner, Virtuoso, etc.).
  • Manage daily requests (calls, emails), ensure file follow-ups in one’s absence, and support colleagues when unavailable.
  • Work closely with all departments, resolve complaints, maintain confidentiality, and carry out any related tasks.
