Key Requirements and Skills

  • Experience: 1 to 3 years minimum in sales or operations in the transportation, distribution, or logistics sectors.
  • Education: Post-secondary degree, an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator; knowledge of TMS/WMS, a plus.
  • Mobility: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities
Responsibilities
  1. Prospecting
  • Actively generate leads through phone calls, networking, and leveraging personal referrals.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts to identify new business opportunities.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of client needs to design customized transportation, warehousing, and distribution solutions.
  • Update and manage client databases using tools such as Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Stay informed about the services offered by XTL to effectively meet customer needs.
  1. Strategic Sales
  • Adopt a consultative sales approach to build long-lasting relationships with clients.
  • Negotiate pricing and service agreements in line with company policies.
  • Follow up on opportunities and actively participate in the onboarding of new clients.
  • Contribute to achieving and surpassing sales goals.
  1. Account Management and Development
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify new business opportunities and coordinate contract renewals.
  • Leverage internal resources to provide effective support and resolve customer concerns.
  1. Budgetary Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with directors to set sales goals aligned with the company’s growth strategies.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals for business opportunities.
  • Ensure strict financial tracking of company expenses.
  1. Contribution to Company Culture
  • Embody XTL’s core values, including leadership, integrity, respect, creativity, and excellence.

Performance Objectives

  • Sales Targets: Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual goals.
  • Customer Engagement: Maintain an active pipeline with regular meetings.

  • Operational Excellence: Follow internal processes and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with internal teams to achieve common goals.
