Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a passionate, values-driven Responsible Individual (RI) to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of children’s services, leading, developing and mentoring a team of exceptional Registered Managers, and ensuring Forge Care continues to deliver Outstanding care.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for someone with:
· Passion for making a real difference to children and young people’s lives.
· Substantial leadership experience in children’s residential care.
· A deep knowledge of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted inspection framework.
· A track record of successful Ofsted inspections (‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’).
· Strong safeguarding expertise and the ability to manage complex situations with confidence.
· Inspirational leadership skills – you’ll motivate, support, challenge, and develop others to be their very best.
· Commercial acumen and the ability to balance quality with financial sustainability.

Responsibilities

As our Responsible Individual, you will:
· Provide strong leadership across our homes, ensuring every child receives the highest standards of care and support.
· Be accountable for quality, safeguarding, and compliance in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Quality Standards, and the updated Ofsted SCIFF (2023/24).
· Inspire, coach, lead and support Registered Managers to deliver services that consistently achieve ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ outcomes.
· Champion the voice of children and young people, ensuring their rights and experiences are at the heart of everything we do.
This role is both strategic and hands-on: you’ll be visible in our homes on a day to day basis, known by our teams and children, as well as recognised by inspectors as a leader who knows their homes and children inside out.
