Salary: £300 - £400 per day once a month. once or twice a week after home opens

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Responsible Individual (RI) to join our dynamic team at a newly established 3-bedroom children’s home in Corby, Northamptonshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in creating a nurturing and supportive environment for children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) while ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for a compassionate, experienced leader with:
Extensive leadership experience in children’s residential care or a related sector.
Comprehensive understanding of Ofsted regulations and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations.
Proven expertise in managing compliance, safeguarding protocols, and risk within children’s services.
Skills and Expertise
Knowledge of the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Exceptional leadership and governance abilities to oversee services at a strategic level effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with regulators, staff, and stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, particularly when handling high-pressure or complex situations.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As the Responsible Individual , you will oversee the operations and management of our new home and support in opening it, working closely with the Registered Manager and staff team to deliver high-quality care. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping the future of children and young people by ensuring their needs are met in a safe, nurturing, and compliant environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, and other relevant legislation.
  • Register successfully with Ofsted and maintain positive inspection outcomes.
  • Provide strategic leadership, ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of children and young people with complex needs.
  • Promote a culture of transparency, safeguarding, and child protection.
  • Oversee the implementation of personalised care plans, collaborating with specialists to address unique challenges.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, and development of a dedicated and passionate team.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure financial and operational efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with families, external agencies, and specialists to provide holistic care and support.
