JOIN A VALUES-LED, GROWING ORGANISATION DEDICATED TO TRANSFORMING THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE.

We are seeking an experienced senior leader to take on the pivotal role of Responsible Individual / Service Manager. This is an opportunity to oversee multiple children’s homes specialising in Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities, while shaping services and driving quality across a thriving care group.
The Role

As Responsible Individual and Service Manager, you will:

  • Take full operational responsibility for a cluster of children’s homes, ensuring outstanding care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide direct support, mentorship, and appraisals for Registered Managers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Oversee governance, quality assurance, and performance frameworks to deliver positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Lead the setup and registration of new homes, including staff recruitment and embedding therapeutic care models.
  • Maintain regular oversight of OFSTED standards and prepare services for inspections.
  • Report to the Board on service performance, growth plans, and regulatory matters.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a passionate and committed leader who can inspire teams and champion best practice. You will have:

  • A proven track record of leadership across multiple children’s homes, ideally with experience in EBD and/or Learning Disabilities.
  • A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Eligibility and readiness to be named as Responsible Individual with OFSTED.
  • Strong safeguarding, compliance, and regulatory knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop managers and staff.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across services.

What We Offer

In return, you’ll join a progressive organisation where your expertise and leadership will make a tangible difference. Benefits include:

  • Competitive base salary with performance-related bonus.
  • Pension scheme and enhanced professional development opportunities.
  • Involvement in strategic growth, including new service developments.
  • A supportive, ambitious senior leadership team that values innovation and high-quality care.
