Busy Steakhouse | Full-Time | Hands-On Management Role

We are looking for an experienced, energetic Assistant Bar & Restaurant Manager to join our busy steakhouse team.

This is a hands-on management position for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading from the front and making sure every guest receives excellent service.

The Role

Working closely with the General/Restaurant Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the restaurant and bar, ensuring smooth service and a high standard of food, drinks and hospitality.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading and motivating the front-of-house and bar team during busy services
Being hands-on and actively involved in service
Supporting staff with training, development and performance
Ensuring excellent customer service and handling guest enquiries professionally
Supervising the bar and restaurant during shifts
Helping with opening and closing procedures
Managing stock, ordering and wastage
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and health & safety
Assisting with rotas and staff management
Supporting the senior management team with the smooth running of the business
Keeping standards high during busy periods and remaining calm under pressure

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous experience in a restaurant, bar or hospitality management role
Is confident leading a team in a busy environment
Has a strong understanding of restaurant and bar operations
Is genuinely hands-on and leads by example
Has excellent customer service and communication skills
Is organised, reliable and commercially aware
Can motivate a team and maintain high standards
Enjoys working in a fast-paced, busy steakhouse environment
Is flexible and prepared to work evenings, weekends and busy service periods
