Trevathan Farm Shop & Restaurant is a much-loved family-run business, known for our friendly atmosphere, freshly prepared food, and commitment to local produce. We’re growing our team and currently have two exciting opportunities available in our café:
Assistant Manager - you’ll work closely with the Café Manager to ensure smooth daily operations. You’ll be hands-on in all aspects of the café – from leading shifts and supporting staff, to maintaining high standards of service, food quality, and cleanliness. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for hospitality who enjoys working in a busy, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the Café Manager in the day-to-day running of the café
Supervising, motivating, and training team members
Delivering excellent customer service and handling queries efficiently
Overseeing stock control, ordering, and cash handling
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards
Stepping up to take full responsibility in the Café Manager’s absence
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant manager role within hospitality/retail
Strong leadership and communication skills
A proactive, hands-on approach and a positive attitude
Flexibility to work weekdays, and one day a weekend, and school holidays as required
