JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the restaurant’s operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the food industry, as well as the ability to manage staff effectively in a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant environment is preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
  • Background in food service management or hospitality management is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, training & development, and shift management.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices, culinary techniques, and kitchen management is required.
  • Previous experience in inventory control, budgeting, and restaurant operations will be beneficial.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including overseeing staff performance and ensuring adherence to service standards.
  • Train and develop team members in food preparation, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste.
  • Handle cash management processes, including cash handling and reconciliation of daily sales.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
  • Support the restaurant manager in budgeting and financial planning to achieve operational goals.
  • Supervise kitchen operations, including cooking techniques and food production processes.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork and effective communication among staff.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Assist with scheduling shifts and managing labor costs effectively.
