JOB SUMMARY:

The Restaurant Captain oversees the dining area, supervises the service staff, and ensures guests receive exceptional service. This role acts as a link between the front-of-house team and management, ensuring smooth restaurant operations and guest satisfaction.

• Greet and seat guests professionally and courteously.
• Supervise waitstaff and assign sections and tasks.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or bar.
• Ensure timely and correct service of food and drinks to guests.
• Monitor table settings, cleanliness, and overall dining room appearance.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns efficiently and professionally.
• Train and mentor junior service staff (waiters, runners, etc.).
• Ensure proper billing and payment procedures.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and grooming.
• Assist in daily opening and closing duties of the restaurant.
