Job Summary:
The Dishwasher keeps all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment clean and sanitized. They ensure a steady supply of clean dishware, manage waste, and follow sanitation standards. Assist with basic food prep and maintain organization in the dishwashing area, following all restaurant policies and procedures.

Activities & Responsibilities

  • Act in accordance with the mission of Queen’s Pub.
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans either by hand or using dishwashers.
  • Keep the dishwasher clean and report any issues promptly to the Head Chef/Lead Hands
  • Monitor dishwasher temperature to ensure effective sanitization.
  • Maintain adequate stock of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
  • Store clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in designated storage areas.
  • Ensure sufficient tableware is available for dining room and kitchen needs.
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
  • Sort and remove trash, ensuring proper disposal.
  • Clean garbage cans
  • Receive and store incoming supplies if when requested
  • Stock supplies such as food or utensils in designated storage areas.
  • Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas
  • Assist fellow employees to meet guest needs and support restaurant operations.
