job summary:
Tatum is supporting a company whose clients are in the restaurant industry & are in need of a Private Equity experienced CFO to run their finance team. Your goal in this role is to continue supporting the growth & its efforts in diversifying their products & solutions for their clients in the restaurant industry. This “hands-on” role will be involved with day-to-day management & long-range, strategic planning efforts. We also need someone who has a proven ability to pivot from executive level work to work that might be considered more “in the weeds” as needed.

responsibilities:

  • You will need to take on all the duties of a Controller until you identify the specific qualifications needed to hire their next Controller.
  • Strategic partner to CEO providing financial / accounting & operational insight to growing the business.
  • Establish and manage accounting and reporting functions to promote GAAP compliance for the company, as well as staying informed on all pronouncements, literature and regulatory guidelines.
  • Design, implement and manage HR, IT, Legal and any other necessary functions to support the business; as well as working closely with Sales & Operations to ensure proper structure & execution of business.
  • Work closely with PE sponsors on strategy execution and proper reporting.
  • Work with banks & any other financing parties for proper reporting & capital needs of organization.
  • Oversee preparation of monthly performance review & reporting package to investors and executive team.
  • Provide analysis & insight to senior manager & business line leaders in an effort to support ongoing business decisions.
  • Assess business performance to identify, recommend and implement opportunities for revenue enhancement, cost containment and resource optimization.

qualifications:

  • Prior private equity owned company backed experience as CFO
  • Extensive knowledge around the restaurant industry but specifically as your client (i.e. restaurant / food service equipment distribution)
  • History of interacting with banks and other investor partners
  • Experience helping an organization scale and expand
  • CPA preferred
  • Be able to start a new role by Sept 1st
