POSITION DESCRIPTION As a member of our Front-of-House Support Team, you play a vital role in delivering a gracious, welcoming experience for every guest. This dynamic, collaborative position supports the Dining Room and Wine Bar in a variety of capacities, including Host/Hostess, Food Runner, and Busser. Above all, our FOH Support Staff embody professionalism, teamwork, and respect—both toward guests and fellow team members. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Ojo Caliente Holdings, Inc. RESPONSIBILITIES General Expectations This position calls for flexibility and collaboration. Responsibilities often overlap and may be reassigned as needs arise. Performing other reasonable, related duties as requested is an expected part of the role. Your duties will shift according to the needs of the operation and may include the following roles: Host/Hostess Warmly greet guests, manage reservations and seating, and maintain a tidy and inviting lobby area. Make reservations, edit reservations, based on availability. Communicate clearly with servers, kitchen staff, and the Manager-on-Duty to ensure smooth service flow. Provide menus, answer questions about the restaurant and resort, and assist with guest inquiries. Oversee the dining room seating plan and waitlist to balance efficiency and service quality. Thank guests sincerely upon departure and invite them to return. Complete side work tasks as requested. Food Runner Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of all food and beverage items, verifying that orders are plated correctly and meet guest expectations. Support servers by delivering items, replenishing beverages, and assisting with special requests. Communicate consistently with servers, the kitchen team, and managers to ensure seamless coordination. Assist with verifying and packaging To-Go Orders. Complete side work tasks as requested. Busser Prepare and maintain all dining and bar areas, including setting, resetting, and clearing tables promptly. Polish glassware and flatware, and replenish table settings and service stations as needed. Maintain cleanliness throughout service—including tables, chairs, and floors—to support a tidy and safe guest environment. Collaborate with Dishwashers and other team members to ensure constant availability of clean service items. Complete side work tasks as requested. Qualifications Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred; resort experience a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Warm, courteous, professional demeanor with the ability to remain composed under pressure. Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential. Must report to work in a clean, pressed uniform with nametag; personal appearance should reflect our hospitality standards. Hair neatly tied back; nails short and clean; personal hygiene maintained to professional standards. Valid New Mexico Food Handler Permit required; Alcohol Server Permit preferred. Flexible availability including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Able to safely perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working amid heat, steam, noise, and cleaning chemicals. Strong manual dexterity, sensory awareness, and ability to follow both verbal and written instructions. Employee must be on their feet or moving product around for 8-hour shifts Due to the natural environment at Ojo Spa Resorts, all staff must be comfortable outdoors performing physical activities, and be able to navigate uneven ground, diverse terrain, multiple stairs, and be prepared to work in unpredictable weather conditions.
