Introduction / Job Description
Dining at Pethers Rainforest Restaurant is one of the highlights of staying at
Pethers, a boutique rainforest retreat located on Mount Tamborine. The awardwinning restaurant is currently open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience as a restaurant front of
house leader and the ability to build a team to complement the exceptional
talents of our Head Chef. General experience in the hospitality industry and an
interest in becoming involved in other areas of operations would also be an
advantage.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Co-operate with Chef to provide guests with a fine dining experience
- Oversee and train wait staff, including supervising individual shifts to
ensure guests are served in a manner that meets the restaurant standards
- Review and revise the beverage list, including paired wines
- Co-ordinate with Front Office to arrange and manage restaurant bookings
- Supervise the cleanliness, safety and upkeep of the dining room and guest
contact areas, co-ordinating with Kitchen and Housekeeping
- Report on a regular basis as required by management
