Speed Foods is a second-generation quick service company located in Langley BC we currently have 8 A&W restaurants all located within Langley and South Surrey. We are currently looking for a General Manager to help us achieve our goal of being a Top Tier Employer and The Best Quick Service Restaurant in Canada! At Speed Foods we strive to “WOW” every guest that walks through our doors by giving them extraordinary customer service with great tasting food.
The General Manager position is a hands-on position; coaching, leading and developing our team daily to deliver exceptional quality, service and cleanliness to our guests on every shift and to do so profitably. This is a big job and a big responsibility.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years QSR experience
  • 2+ years in a unit manager leadership position
  • Advanced understanding of all quick-service restaurant operations
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to coach, train and motivate employees
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on, 24/7 environment
  • Valid Driver’s License with personal vehicle
  • Dealing with Guest Concerns and winning them back;
  • Computer knowledge in Office or OpenOffice;
  • Professional positive team leader, dependable, takes initiative;
  • Should expect to work beyond 40+ hours per week;
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Recruiting, training, leading and coaching a team of managers and staff to achieve our brand standards of exceptional Quality, Service and Cleanliness.
  • Building sales and profitability through excellent operations and local marketing strategies
  • Accountable for operating profitability by monitoring and controlling food, paper, labour and operating expenses within budget
  • Ensuring all Team Members are trained to deliver exceptional quality, service and cleanliness through 1st class initial and ongoing training
  • Ensuring all company programs, practices and systems are implemented and executed properly
  • Working with the management team to identify problem areas and work with them to come up with and implement solutions
  • Creating and maintaining a positive work climate that promotes best-in-class tenure and governing oneself according to our family’s strong values
  • Dealing with guest concerns and winning them back
