Routinely rated as a Top 100 Golf Course in Canada, the golf course is one of the best kept courses in the national Capital region.
Camelot is looking for an exceptional, passionate, and visible Restaurant General Manager to assist in leading our Food & Beverage team in our Dining room. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with their staff and colleagues.
An employee-oriented motivator, our new Restaurant General Manager will act as a mentor for their staff, embrace change, be present, accountable and possess a high degree of professionalism.
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for assisting the Food & Beverage Manager with back-of-house and front-of-house operations, cooperating with the Events Department in planning and overseeing the Food and Beverage department, facilitating the delivery of exceptional hospitality and customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant discipline or 2+ years of direct work experience in a Food and Beverage supervisory position, preferably in a golf environment.
  • Knowledge of computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, inventory control and POS systems.
  • Knowledge of the POS system Jonas is an asset.
  • Smart Server certification.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to foster effective and pleasant working relationships with peers, subordinates, members, outside clients, and other external contacts.
  • Ability to function independently and under pressure and ability to manage various projects at the same time.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and administrative skills.
  • Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services, ordering, as well as inventory control of these items.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good financial and business awareness.
  • Bilingualism, French and English considered an asset
  • Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively lead shifts while providing direction and coaching to fellow servers within the Legend Restaurant, Great Hall, Halfway Hut, Bevergae Cart, Patio and Outdoor Lounge.
  • Provide exceptional service to members and guests in our Legend, Great Hall, Halfway Hut, Beverage Cart, Patio and Outdoor Lounge.
  • Ensure that staffing levels are adequate while complying to company standards and budgetary targets within the F&B department.
  • Ensure member and guest satisfaction, respond to feedback and/or concerns from guests and communicate with the F&B Manager.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating integrity, discipline and inspiration to the team.
  • Assist, supervise and delegate required tasks for the day to prepare for service and/or events under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Ensure all staff are following daily procedures, including proper food handling and alcohol service, as well as employee health and safety protocol.
  • Proactively handling stock rotation and inventory control.
  • Assist Food & Beverage Manager with training, planning, scheduling and directing work for the day-to-day operations.
  • Updating POS (point-of-sale) systems and programming, when required.
  • Tracking monthly inventory and weekly ordering requirements with the support of the Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Performs other duties as required.
