Restaurant General Manager, Stories on High - Hilton Columbus Downtown
is seeking a talented Restaurant General Manager to lead the team at Stories on High! Our hotel boasts 1,000 guest rooms, 75,000 square feet of event space, and several unique dining options. We are connected to the Greater Columbus Convention Center, only a short walk from Nationwide Arena and North Market.
Stories on High is Columbus’ tallest rooftop bar, towering 28 stories over High Street and offering 360-degree views of the city from our two terraces. Every item on our menu has a purpose – a story behind it and why it was curated specifically for the skybar. We invite our guests to discover those stories as they create their own through their experience at Stories on High.
The ideal candidate will be a charismatic and strategic leader with a passion for curating exceptional dining experiences and driving operational success. They will excel in team development, effective communication, and financial management, while cultivating a warm, guest-centric environment. Fine dining and luxury hotel experience are preferred but not essential.
Shift Pattern: This is a full-time position which requires full availability to work varying shifts across weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities
  • Management of operations to include, but not limited to, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counselling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Monitoring and assessing product quality and service and satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
  • Initiating and implementing marketing and up-selling techniques to promote restaurant food and beverage and services and to maximize overall revenue
