Description The Host / Cashier will meet and greet customers at the door and assign seating to assure maximum guest satisfaction; thank guests as they exit. Assist in cleaning and resetting of tables and help servers as needed. Answer telephone in a pleasant and professional manner; responsible for cash register monies. Position works between Wendover Nugget & Red Garter, if/as needed. In this role you will: Greet guests in prompt courteous manner and assign seating on a rotating basis, seeing that all service personnel receive an equal number of covers. Distribute menus and give a brief description of specials. Continuously monitor each table to assure that they receive quick service. Monitor all tables for proper settings. Inspect sections for cleanliness when closing a section, clean and reset tables as needed. Ensure the dining room is clean and presentable at all times. Answer telephone in a polite and professional manner. Receive, return and manage cashier’s change fund. Keep cashier/hostess station net and organized. Accept guest payments, process credit card charges and make change. Ensure menus are current, clean and in good condition. Perform related and/or other duties as required. Requirements Previous experience with cash handling, preferred. Six months experience in a cashier or hostess position, preferred. Ability to speak and write English fluently. Maintain a clean uniform and personal appearance. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision. Must be a team player with the desire to assist all co-workers. The ability to memorize daily specials and answer questions concerning casino promotions. Posses basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register. Actively promote and personally observe safety and security procedures, and use equipment and materials properly.
