Cora’s Breakfast & Lunch on Waverley Street is seeking a highly organized, friendly and outgoing individual for our Host/Expo position for the fall of 2025.
This a full-time role. Must be available to work every weekend and some weekdays (approximately 25 - 35 hours per week).

This Role Includes:

  • Greeting and seating guests
  • Pulling food orders to be run out
  • Running food to tables
  • Making Coffee/Filling Water
  • Making toast
  • Communicating with servers and kitchen staff to ensure orders are completed correctly
  • Restocking dishware/glasses, prepping coffee, assisting servers when needed
  • Various cleaning duties including sweeping and mopping
  • Cleaning tables
  • Packing online orders on Skip The Dishes, DoorDash, Uber Eats and our own platform, CoraOnline with speed and accuracy
  • Using LIBRO App to manage reservations.
  • Answering phones, taking reservations and answering customer’s questions or handling their concerns
  • Taking payments at front cash and on handheld machines
  • Closing cash at the end of day

We are looking for someone who can multi-task, is friendly and goes the extra mile with customers, pays attention to detail and has experience in a restaurant environment. Being outgoing is an asset as this person will be the point of contact between the kitchen staff and servers. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a very fast-paced environment is a must. We are looking for a long-term commitment from a reliable individual who has the goal of a career in the Restaurant Industry.

Requirements:

  • Previous hosting and/or food expo experience (1 year minimum)
  • Previous online platform experience, such as Skip The Dishes, DoorDash, etc. (1 year minimum)
  • Previous restaurant experience would be considered an asset

Pay:

$15.80 per hour (plus tip pool after 3 month probation period)

  • Potential for raises with seniority and commitment to establishment
