THE ROLE Chetola Resort is seeking a warm, welcoming, and service-oriented Greeter/Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests dining at Timberlake’s Restaurant. This role plays a key part in setting the tone for a positive and memorable guest experience. You’ll greet guests with genuine hospitality, manage reservations and seating flow, and ensure smooth communication with the front-of-house team. WHAT YOU’LL DO Guest Reception & Seating Deliver a warm and sincere welcome to every guest, creating an immediate sense of hospitality Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating with accuracy and efficiency using the reservation system Escort guests to their tables while personalizing the experience through conversation and awareness of guest preferences Provide clear, confident information about menus, specials, hours, and resort offerings Front-of-House Flow & Coordination Maintain a clean, organized, and visually polished host stand and entrance area at all times Partner with servers, managers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless teamwork and smooth table turns Monitor pacing of the dining room to balance guest experience with operational flow Anticipate guest needs before being asked, including wait time communication and accommodations Guest Experience & Service Recovery Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and grace under pressure Take ownership of guest issues and ensure timely resolution or appropriate escalation Support to-go orders and assist the team during peak service periods Stay informed on daily specials, events, and resort happenings to enhance the guest experience Requirements ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN ACTION Noticing when a guest is celebrating something special and acknowledging it proactively Accurately quoting wait times and updating guests before they need to ask Ensuring menus are clean, aligned, and presented neatly every time Recognizing returning guests and adjusting seating preferences when possible Keeping the entrance area pristine—free of clutter, smudges, or distractions Communicating small but critical details (VIP guests, special requests, pacing changes) to the team in real time ABOUT YOU Energetic and approachable with a naturally warm and polished demeanor Enjoy making people feel welcome and well taken care of Calm under pressure and able to multitask with efficiency and accuracy Strong verbal communicator with excellent organizational skills Professional appearance and a passion for guest service REQUIREMENTS Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred (restaurant or resort experience a plus) Familiarity with restaurant reservation or POS systems is helpful, but not required Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs Punctual, reliable, and committed to maintaining a high standard of service WHY CHETOLA One of the largest private employers in the county with a dynamic work setting and strong potential for career growth Join a dedicated and growing team shaping the next era of a beloved mountain resort Contribute meaningfully to a culture rooted in connection, craftsmanship, and care Competitive hourly wage and resort-wide employee discounts Chetola Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
