Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated host/hostess in a fine dining restaurant who creates a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere for guests, ensures exceptional customer service is delivered from the moment the guest(s) arrive until they depart. The host/hostess is responsible for managing reservations, greeting, and seating guests, and coordinating with the restaurant staff to provide an unforgettable dining experience. Core Job Responsibilities & Duties Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression Always maintain a professional and friendly attitude while attending to guests’ needs Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart, including handling incoming reservation inquiries, either in-person, over the phone or via email Responsible for accurately recording and confirming reservation details, paying attention to specific requests and preferences Update and maintain the reservation system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information Monitor and manage online reservation platforms and guest profiles Manage waitlist and effectively estimate waiting time for guest(s) Coordinate with the restaurant staff to accommodate special occasions and requests Escort guests to their assigned tables, considering their preferences and special requests Assist in maintaining a positive and efficient workflow within the restaurant Always maintaining professional appearance and demeanor Ensure the availabilities of menus, promotional materials, and necessary supplies for guests during wait times Assist in the collection and analysis of guest feedback and preferences Other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management Qualification Standards & Company Requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment Must have a flexible work schedule *Please note that specific job requirements and responsibilities may vary depending on the company’s policies, size, and other factors*
