About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Restaurant Manager to lead our well-regarded English restaurant in Knebworth, Hertfordshire. Open from 7am to 12pm, Monday to Saturday, our restaurant offers classic British cuisine in a friendly, welcoming environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in hospitality, taking full responsibility for daily operations and staff leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Supervise all front-of-house staff and chefs, ensuring smooth operations and a supportive team culture.
  • Daily Operations: Oversee opening and closing, uphold customer service standards, and ensure an exceptional guest experience.
  • Staff Rota Management: Create and maintain staff schedules for optimal service coverage.
  • Stock & Inventory: Monitor supplies and manage orders to support uninterrupted kitchen and bar operations.
  • Owner Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact between owners and the team, sharing updates and acting on feedback.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and improve KPIs, maintain high hygiene standards, and drive continuous improvement.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Previous hospitality experience (e.g., supervisor, assistant manager) is an advantage.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week

Additional pay:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Every weekend
  • Monday to Friday
