Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the restaurant team and overseeing daily service
- Creating a positive, professional and high-performing team culture
- Training and developing staff, ensuring consistently high standards
- Managing staff rotas and coordinating payroll
- Maintaining excellent standards of service, food presentation and customer experience
- Managing stock levels, ordering and supplier relationships
- Monitoring labour, food and operational costs
- Contributing to the ongoing financial performance of the restaurant
- Ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety, hygiene and health & safety requirements
- Managing customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
- Working closely with the owners and kitchen team on menus, promotions and new initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to improve the operation as the business continues to grow
The Person
The successful candidate will have previous management experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment and will be confident taking responsibility for both people and operational performance.
We are looking for:
- 3+ years' experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role
- Proven experience leading and developing a team
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A genuine passion for hospitality, food and delivering an excellent guest experience
- A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the floor during busy periods
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations, stock control and supplier management
- An understanding of food and labour costs and basic financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and health & safety
- An interest in speciality coffee and contemporary food
- The initiative and commercial awareness to identify opportunities and contribute to the continued growth of the business
