Description

Karyaa Pty Ltd, trading as Blue Whale Asian Eatery, is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated full-time Restaurant Manager to be responsible for all aspects of managing this family-owned restaurant in Port Macquarie.
Salary $80 000 plus superannuation
Main Duties:
Management to budget to achieve sales and profit targets.
Oversight of daily restaurant operations.
Planning menus in consultation with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff.
Planning and organising special functions to be held at the restaurant.
Arranging the purchasing of food and kitchen supplies according to the budget.
Ensuring the dining and kitchen facilities comply with health and safety regulations and are clean, functional and meet standards for appearance.
Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions.
Selecting, training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff.
Managing staff performance.
Managing rostering of restaurant staff.
Checking with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service and addressing any complaints.
Where required take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders.

Skills and experience required:

  • A positive leader with an attitude to succeed in this fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • At least 3 years experience as a Restaurant Manager, with full responsibility for all aspects of restaurant operations, including responsibility to manage budgets and achieve profit targets.
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Great communication skills both with customers and staff. Lead from the front.
  • Ability to develop ideas to enhance customer service and improve profitability.
  • Knowledge of food and work safety regulations.
  • Fluent with online reservation systems.

. Knowledge of Asian cuisine as desirable .

  • Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
