We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Marina Manager to oversee and enhance the operations of our marina. Job Description: The Marina Manager at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the guest experience at our marina. This role requires a passion for the marine industry, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities: 1. Marina Operations Management: * Oversee day-to-day marina operations, ensuring the highest levels of safety and service. * Supervise and schedule marina staff, including dockhands and maintenance personnel. * Manage inventory of marine supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment. 2. Customer Service: * Provide exemplary customer service to all marina guests, addressing inquiries, reservations, and concerns promptly and professionally. * Foster positive guest relations by maintaining a welcoming and friendly atmosphere at the marina. 3. Safety and Compliance: * Enforce all safety regulations and ensure staff and guests adhere to marina safety guidelines. * Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to marina operations. 4. Maintenance and Repairs: * Oversee routine maintenance and repairs of docks, vessels, and equipment to ensure they are in optimal condition. * Coordinate and manage vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance and repairs. 5. Financial Management: * Develop and manage the marina budget, monitoring expenses and revenues. * Implement strategies to increase marina profitability through services, rentals, and events. 6. Marketing and Promotion: * Collaborate with the resort's marketing team to promote marina services, events, and packages. * Seek opportunities for business growth and expansion of marina services. 7. Environmental Stewardship: * Lead efforts to maintain the marina's ecological health, ensuring the responsible use of natural resources. * Promote sustainability and eco-friendly practices within marina operations. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Marine Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred). * Prior experience in marina or waterfront management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. * Strong knowledge of marine safety regulations and best practices. * Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. * Proficiency in budget management and financial analysis. * Strong leadership and team management abilities. * Boating and maritime certifications and licenses are a plus. * Familiarity with marine equipment, maintenance, and repair procedures. * A passion for the marine and hospitality industry. Lifting and Carrying: * Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, including marine equipment and supplies, up to 50 pounds. 2. Standing and Walking: * Prolonged periods of standing and walking on uneven surfaces, including docks and marina premises. 3. Manual Dexterity: * Proficient use of hands and fingers for tasks such as handling ropes, tying knots, and operating equipment. 4. Boat Handling: * Proficiency in boat handling, including the ability to board and disembark vessels and assist guests with docking. 5. Climbing: * Climbing ladders and stairs to access boats, docks, and equipment. 6. Bending and Stooping: * Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling to access equipment and perform maintenance tasks. 7. Swimming: * Strong swimming skills, as there may be a need to enter the water for various tasks or emergencies. 8. Sight and Hearing: * Good visual and auditory acuity to monitor marina activities and ensure safety and compliance. 9. Communication: * Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with guests, staff, and vendors. 10. Weather Exposure: * Exposure to various weather conditions, including sun, heat, rain, and wind, as marina operations are conducted outdoors. 11.
