We are looking for an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, premium dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Diploma of Hospitality or higher qualification in a relevant field.
  • At least 1 year of full-time, proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in fine-dining setting.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with a focus on staff motivation and team cohesion.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, workplace compliance, and restaurant operations.
  • A hands-on, customer-first approach with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding service and cuisine.
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to plan ahead and adapt in a dynamic environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the premium image and standards of Roti Place.

Responsibilities

As the Restaurant Manager of Roti Place, you will play a vital leadership role in maintaining the premium dining experience our guests expect. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant floor to ensure a seamless and exceptional dining experience for all guests.
  • Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to coordinate service flow, seasonal menu updates, and product quality control.
  • Managing restaurant reservations, guest seating, and customer interactions, with an emphasis on delivering high-end hospitality service.
  • Organising and executing special dining events, private functions, and cultural celebrations that reflect our Malaysian heritage.
  • Monitoring and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations to uphold our high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Conducting inventory checks, managing procurement for floor operations, and collaborating with kitchen staff to support budget control.
  • Recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising all front-of-house staff, ensuring they deliver exceptional service aligned with Roti Place’s premium dining standards.
  • Overseeing the Head Chef and kitchen operations, including the training and performance of kitchen staff, to ensure consistency in food quality, hygiene compliance, and alignment with the restaurant’s culinary vision.
  • Addressing customer feedback professionally and implementing continuous service improvement strategies.
  • Collaborating with external accountants for payroll processing, superannuation, and basic financial reporting.
  • Preparing rosters, managing timesheets, and ensuring efficient staffing across both front and back-of-house teams.
