About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our busy food business located at 254 Swanston Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.

Key responsibilities

• Staff rostering, recruitment and training
• Opening and closing procedures
• Stock control and ordering
• Food cost and wastage control
• Cash handling and POS management
• Managing Uber Eats and DoorDash
• Customer complaint handling
• Food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards
• Staff performance and discipline
• Daily sales and operational reporting

About you

* Previous restaurant or hospitality management experience

* Strong leadership and communication skills

* Experience with rostering, stock control and food cost management

* Good understanding of food safety requirements

* Fluent Mandarin Chinese is required due to regular communication with Chinese-speaking team members, management and suppliers

* Functional English communication skills are required

* Ability to complete 2–3 weeks of paid training in Sydney, with accommodation and meal/travel support provided
