About the role

Our hospitality group is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to join our team in Greymouth, Central West Coast. This is a full-time position that plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests and patrons. As Restaurant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our restaurant operations, ensuring the highest standards of service, quality, and profitability. This is a key leadership position within our hospitality business, directly contributing to the success and reputation of Paroa Hotel, Recreation Hotel and Sevenpenny.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all restaurant staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
• Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained consistently across all service periods
• Manage restaurant operations, including table management, reservations, and service flow
• Oversee food and beverage quality standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Control food and labour costs while maintaining service quality and profitability
• Develop and implement promotional strategies to increase revenue and customer retention
• Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally and resolve them promptly
• Maintain restaurant facilities and equipment in optimal condition
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination between front and back of house
• Monitor inventory and manage stock ordering with suppliers
• Create and manage restaurant budgets and financial reports
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health codes, and company policies
