Description:
Subset 27 is a high-end establishment of a cocktail bar & restaurant located in Edmondson Park.
We are seeking a full time Restaurant Manager to join the team. With a wealth of experience in the industry the ideal candidate will be a natural born leader, have excellent communication skills and a desire for inspiring others.
With prior experience in performing in a similar role, It is important this individual can work under pressure whilst effectively managing the bar, front of house operations & your team.
Responsibilities:
- Taking and co-ordinating reservations, functions & events. as well as effective table seating management/seating plans.
- Hosting the floor; co-ordinating walk ins and reservations / functions
- Effectively communicating function run sheets to all aspects of the team: Seating plan, time management of events, menu and dietary requirements etc.
- Ability to effectively run the food and beverage pass, ensuring timing, quality and correct deliverables to customers are met.
- Taking customer orders at POS stations including food orders for bar/pub floor
- Staff training and managing your teams KPI’s
- Allocating rostering to the team including maintaining staff operations e.g., Sourcing a replacement when a team member calls in sick.
- Working in conjunction with HR/Management on the hiring and dismissal of staff.
- Ability to work in the bar: Preparing, mixing and serving cocktails as per Subset 27s recipes. This also includes serving wine, beer, cider, soft drinks etc.
- In depth knowledge of alcohol and cocktail mixology
- Creating new cocktails for the menu & specials board and setting the presentation standards whilst ensuring your team meets them.
- Creating, pricing, maintaining and documenting drink cards of recipes. This would include instructions and imagery for staff training
- Managing POS updates for new menus and specials
- Encouraging a healthy team environment e.g., Ensuring there is communication and trust amongst staff.
- Maintaining compliance with liquor regulations and workplace health and safety laws
- Checking, ordering and rotating of stock
- Checking and maintaining cleanliness and maintenance of restaurant, bar and keg room.
- Maintain and follow Subset 27 policies and procedures.
Career Progression, can be promoted to Venue Manager & Licensee of the venue.
Subset 27 is easily accessible by train as it is situated next to Edmondson Park Train Station, as well as onsite parking.
The successful candidate may commence this role immediately and work alongside the Owner & Bar Manager with in depth training & guidance.
