RESTAURANT MANAGER

  • Daily banking and reconciling for Lago. Ensuring that banking matches between Wirley reports and POS reports. If there are any errors they are investigated on the day. Ensure that credit card transactions match between EFTPOS machines and POS.
  • Responsible for all cash handling in Lago. Lago takings are to be counted out with the hotel manager.
  • Opening and closing of the venue and ensuring that all procedures are done.
  • Managing the shift
  • Having detailed run sheets
  • Conducting briefings with the staff and kitchen manager
  • Delegating tasks to staff efficiently
  • Checking the work of staff and responsible if tasks are incomplete.
  • Effective communication with the kitchen team
  • Working the room and talking to all tables.
  • Effectively dealing with complaints to solve the issues during service.
  • Ensuring the venue is compliant at all times license/licensee.
  • Know the venue’s license conditions.
  • Following the barring procedure. Knowing the barred list and ensuring the Lago employees are also aware.
  • Ensure that the venue is operating its full opening hours unless authorised by the general manager.
  • All timesheets are approved for staff at the end of the night.
  • Ensure that all staff are compliant in line with award rates on a shift and week. This includes knowing the maximum hours employees can do in a week/shift, and when a break must be taken.
  • Daily checks that all marketing material is up to date and relevant. this includes posters. Changing them where necessary
  • Giving active on-the-shift training to employees to enhance knowledge of the team, increase sales and minimise errors.
  • Frequent checks of RSA/RCG cards for staff to ensure they have the cards on their persons or on the service NSW app.
  • Working with the hotel manager on the roster.
  • All ordering for the venue, including beverages and linen.
  • Weekly reports for the venue sent to key stakeholders.
  • Running incentives for the front-of-house team to encourage sales and SPH.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • AML/CTF training (updated yearly)
  • TAB compliance completed
