KEY REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Experience

  • A diploma or tertiary qualification in a relevant area (e.g. hospitality, commerce) is strongly desired.
  • At least 5 years of management experience within the hospitality industry
  • Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations and the hospitality industry
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a successful team and achieve outcomes.
  • Commercial and financial acumen with proven ability to manage budgets and inventory.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of Workplace Health and Safety.
  • Current Driver’s Licence.
  • National Police Clearance

  • Highly adaptable with ability to work flexibility, including out of standard work hours (for RSLWA events) as required.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Records Check prior to commencing employment.
Salary will commensurate according to experience.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and supervise the Head Chef, Food & Beverage Manager, Concierge, and Sales teams.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across the kitchen, restaurant, events, sales, and concierge services.
  • Responsible for compliance and profitability of the restaurant and function space
  • Develop and implement long-term operational strategies.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.

Sales & Client Relations

  • Develop and implement sales strategies and targets.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Analyse sales performance and lead the sales team to achieve results.

Guest Experience

  • Ensure exceptional guest and member service.
  • Address complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Use feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Event Management

  • Oversee planning and execution of private, corporate, and special events.
  • Liaise with clients to understand needs and ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage event logistics including staffing, setup, and pack-down.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Implement and monitor health, safety, and emergency protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain safety and hygiene standards.
  • Provide comprehensive WHS training and induction for staff
