Dalhousie Castle is seeking a professional and passionate Restaurant Supervisor to help oversee the daily running of our Dungeon Restaurant. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Restaurant Manager to lead a dynamic front-of-house team. You will ensure that every guest enjoys seamless service and a memorable dining experience, whether they’re enjoying a tasting menu, a romantic dinner, or a celebratory lunch
Dalhousie Castle is Scotland’s oldest inhabitable castle, a beautiful wedding and meetings venue, with 35 bedrooms, a dramatic dungeon restaurant, picturesque gardens and spa. The hotel is undergoing an exciting refurbishment project to elevate our guests experience whilst preserving everthing that you already love about Dalhousie. We’re refreshing interiors, enhancing comfort, and reimagining key spaces with elegance, history, and storytelling at the heart.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Previous supervisory or senior front-of-house experience in a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment
  • Genuine passion for food, wine, and outstanding service
  • A charismatic and professional leader with excellent communication skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with great attention to detail
  • Passion for delivering a 5-star guest experience
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Responsibilities
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in all aspects of daily operations of the Dungeon Restaurant, ensuring outstanding service standards
  • Lead and motivate the team during busy service periods
  • Support with staff training, mentoring, and upholding service standards
  • Handle guest queries and feedback with professionalism and care
  • Coordinate with the kitchen and management teams to maintain flow and timing
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene, health & safety regulations
  • Assist in stock control, ordering and inventory checks
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and lead by example to foster a positive and cohesive working atmosphere.
