JOB SUMMARY

The Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining a positive work environment in ROMEOs Kitchen + Spirits and high customer service standards. As the Supervisor your focus will be managing front of house operations and maintaining favorable working relationships with all company employees and most importantly, the guests.

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

General Responsibilities

  • Time on the floor
  • Closely monitoring individual performance
  • Efficiently manage + coordinate the front-of-house team
  • Achieve company objectives in service, quality, facility appearance, sanitation, + cleanliness
  • Quality checking tables + getting to know our clientele.
  • Listening to service staff talk to their guests
  • Lead by example, step in + help when needed
  • Manage the flow of guests in the building
  • Follow corrective disciplinary actions as required
  • Manage a team to ensure they are motivated, trained, + ready to roll up their sleeves when needed.
  • Review guest numbers at tables for GCA accuracy
  • Expedite food when necessary
  • Oversee section checks
  • Host pre shift meetings with the service team follow the template
  • Assist with staff performance reviews with the Restaurant/Assistant Manager
  • Understanding of reservations + events
  • Ensure an understanding of hotel occupancy + events
  • System management (via Tock) – overseeing reservations
  • Book large party group following set perimeters
  • Knowing how to setup an event + read a BEO
  • Maintain precision in operations + paying meticulous attention to every detail in event execution.
  • Make informed decisions + anticipate guest needs proactively.
  • Review daily change log
  • Closing the restaurant
  • Check all sides duties at the end of the shift
  • Check that front of house staff have closed down their sections properly
  • Setups completed
  • Balance all cashouts
  • Send end of day/night email of how the shift went, including sales and labor percentage to the management team
  • Lock up
  • Maintain a professional appearance for self + team with a leadership attitude
  • Communicate with other departments in a clear, consistent + effective manner
  • Oversee all elements behind the bar
  • Ensuring efficient bar operations + consistency
  • Inventory management
  • Adherence to + enforcing liquor laws as per our liquor license
  • Ensure venue and equipment are fully functional, clean + maintained
  • Assist banquet department during busy
  • Setup events
  • Run a small team running plated meals
  • Support behind bars

HARD SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-year experience in a similar position
  • General math knowledge
  • Serving it Right Certification
  • Has a full knowledge of all food and beverage items produced and sold from ROMEOs
  • Ensures presentation of all food meets and exceeds ROMEOs standards for freshness, appearance and consistency when running food
  • Protects the establishment by adhering to strict policies on serving alcohol
  • Must be committed to working safely
  • Completion of ROMEOs Kitchen + Spirits WorkSafe training
  • On time for all shifts ready to work at scheduled times
  • Food safe
  • Level 1 First Aid
