About the role

The Grand Hotel Labrador is seeking an experienced Restaurant Supervisor to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this full-time role roll you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and a seamless dining experience for our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating the restaurant team, including waitstaff and bartenders
• Ensuring efficient table management, seating arrangements and flow of service
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation in the dining area
• Handling customer inquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
• Assisting with inventory management, ordering and stock control
• Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure timely and consistent service
• Providing training and development opportunities for the restaurant team
• Adhering to all health, safety and licensing regulations

What we're looking for

• Experience in a similar restaurant supervisor or team leader role
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in using restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems
• Thorough understanding of food and beverage operations.
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety and licensing regulations in the hospitality industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Ability to lead from the front and work in high paced restaurant
