We are recruiting for an exciting Restaurant Supervisor opportunity for the Quay Hotel & Spa in Deganwy, Conwy. The ideal candidate will come from a hospitality background preferably with experience in a similar role. Also, you should be flexible as this role requires you to work weekdays and weekends.

To assist the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to plan, organise, direct and evaluate the operations of the Restaurant. Great customer skills are required to combine with management skills, ensuring labour and financial control are managed and maintained. Responsible for the smooth running of all Restaurant as laid down in the Standard of Performance Manual. To ensure the guests are served to the highest possible standard, whilst ensuring a consistent standard of service is achieved throughout.
Experience:
Business activities:
- Taking responsibility for the business performance of all area of the Restaurant;
- Assist in analysing and planning Restaurant sales levels and profitability;
- Managing staff in respect of control of food and sales
- Assist in creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff development;
Front of house:
- Assist in co-ordinating the entire operation of the Restaurant, during scheduled shifts;
- Managing staff and providing them with feedback;
- Responding to customer complaints;
- Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company’s uniform standards;
- Meeting and greeting customers and organising table reservations;
- Advising customers on menu and wine choice;
- Assist in recruiting, training and motivating staff.
Housekeeping:
- Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety;
- Checking stock levels and ordering supplies;
- Support and work closely with the Bar Team
- Preparing cash drawers and providing petty cash as required;
- Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate;
- Comply with all legal requirements in respect of health and safety, welfare of the staff and customers;
- All staff of the company are required to make themselves available for training and communication meetings, for which advance notice will normally be given;
- All staff must attend the fire training as required by law and to be familiar with the departmental responsibilities
