Job Summary Job Summary Behind every team is a strong supporting Laborer. A project management and flood team can be extremely effective and communicative by collaborating to complete daily tasks. Laborer’s will be learning every day on a variety of different tasks, such as how to complete a clean demolition and minor flood technician work. Remember, the most important question a laborer can ask is, “What’s next?” Responsibilities Job Responsibilities Removing construction materials and taking direction from staff. Maintaining a neat and orderly company vehicle, if assigned. Working collaboratively with all departments applicable to the role. Communicating with customers, field team and project management team members and co-workers. Ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed in detail on our project management app, Restorify. Completing your timecard daily on ADP. Adhering to PPCR’s health and safety policies. Assisting in preparing the work area, including site protection of unaffected areas, moving contents, and cleaning debris. Helping set up and transport flood-related equipment, such as pumps, vacuums, hoses, dehumidifiers, etc.) and following instructions to ensure proper placement. Assisting in water extraction using proper equipment under the guidance of flood technicians. Removing damaged materials, including different baseboards, door casings, drywall, insulation, and flooring. Detaching bifold doors, interior doors, exterior doors, sliding doors and sliding doors with a mirror. Cleaning and disinfecting areas to prevent mould growth to achieve a hygienic environment (i.e., wiping surfaces, applying antimicrobial treatments, and using specialized cleaning agents). Helping with the setup and monitoring of drying equipment, such as dehumidifiers and air movers. Collecting and disposing of debris generated on site. Requirements Job Requirements A valid British Columbia drivers’ license (either N or Class 5). Participation in our on-call shift rotation. Ability to lift industrial fans weighing roughly 30 – 40 lbs. Ability to load and unload wheeled industrial dehumidifiers weighing 130 – 140 lbs. Passing a criminal record check and a driver’s abstract check based on our approval. Attention to detail. Collaborative, communicative, and strong listening skills. Providing great customer service. Ability to work well alone as well as in a team environment. Construction and or restoration experience is considered an asset. IICRC WRT certification is considered an asset.
