Restorative Aide- FT The Restorative Aide is responsible for preparing treatment areas, cleaning treatment areas, positioning patients, procurement and inventory of supplies, transporting, and assisting patients and therapist. QUALIFICATIONS: ♦ High School diploma ♦ CPR/BCLS Certification ♦ Minimum six months experience in an acute or long term facility preferred. ♦ Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Job Specific: ♦ Ability to Transport, lift, transfer, move and reposition patients in the patient room, Therapy Gym and other common areas of the hospital. ♦ Prepares patient for prescribed treatment and assists professional staff with patient treatment. ♦ Prepares, cleans and maintains treatment areas and equipment. ♦ Procures and keeps an accurate inventory of all therapy supplies. ♦ Performs routine clerical tasks for Therapy Department. ♦ Other duties as assigned. Company Specific: ♦ Maintains confidentiality of all patient and/or employee information to assure patient and/or employee rights are protected. ♦ Maintains current licensure/certification for position, if applicable. ♦ Consistently follows departmental and hospital Health, Safety, Security, Hazardous Materials policies and procedures. ♦ HIPAA: Conduct job responsibilities in accordance with HIPAA privacy laws, follow hospital policy in provision of patient confidentiality. Able to identify patient confidentiality issues and reports to proper hospital personnel immediately. Skills: ♦ Basic computer knowledge. ♦ Appropriate telephone communication skills. ♦ Ability to Transport, lift, transfer, move and reposition patients in the patient room, Therapy Gym and other common areas of the hospital. Physical and Safety Requirements: ♦ Good general health and stress coping ability. Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with all constituents (patients, families, peers, and other healthcare team members) as needed. Possess near vision acuity for accurate reading of equipment and recording on patient charts. Responsibilities
