Description Reports to: ReStore Manager About the Role The ReStore Associate supports daily store operations, helping shoppers, donors, and volunteers. This includes assisting customers, processing and moving merchandise, organizing donations, and supporting volunteers. Associates also drive ReStore trucks to pick up donations, load/unload items, and serve as ambassadors of Habitat for Humanity's mission to build homes, communities, and hope! Key Responsibilities Deliver excellent customer service to shoppers and donors Drive donation truck, load/unload items safely, screen donations, thank donors, complete paperwork Receive, price, and organize donated items Maintain clean, safe, and inviting store and warehouse spaces Operate the cash register as needed Lead and support volunteers Promote Habitat’s mission during interactions with the community Requirements Valid NYS Driver’s License and insurable driving record, required (no Type A violations in past 5 years/ no suspensions or revocations in last 3 years) Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly, heavier with assistance Retail, customer service, and/or nonprofit experience preferred Team player with strong communication skills Comfortable standing, bending, and moving throughout the day High school diploma or equivalent required Enthusiasm for Habitat for Humanity's mission Work Environment Retail store, warehouse, and on-the-road (in all weather).
