Under minimal supervision, the Resupply Lead will serve as the coordinator for the care of existing patients. This may include verification of insurance coverage, entering/updating patient information into the computer system, communication of financial responsibility. Additional responsibilities include orientation and mentoring inexperienced staff and daily oversight of team members. Resupply Lead plays a key role in providing leadership, guidance, and support to the resupply team to ensure exceptional customer service and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge/proficiency in resupply specialist job duties
  • Collaborate with Resupply Supervisor to streamline resupply workflows and optimize patient access to care
  • Monitor/oversee and assist with resupply chats and overrides
  • Assist and cover front desk as needed (Longwood, Daytona & Tampa)
  • Support with new hire training and serving as mentor for new staff
  • Oversee/monitor the team making sure daily tasks are completed and workflow is being followed as well as maintain communication with supervisor on daily tasks
  • Provide support to supervisor on creating/updating SOP when required
  • Monitor phone queue and report back findings to supervisor
  • Assist team members with questions, concerns pertaining to daily folders
  • Assist with escalation calls
  • Assist with OSO report
  • Strict adherence to all Policies & Procedures
  • Identification and resolution of all referral/customer complaints, with written documentation being given to the Resupply Supervisor
  • Assist in directing all day-to-day activities related to Resupply (SNAP Dialer report, VGM Reports, Plan of the Day)
  • Assist in the interview process when recruiting new hires
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively among multiple departments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with varying contacts and organizational levels to maintain all efforts of patient advocacy
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to demonstrate organizational skills in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Durable Medical equipment knowledge preferred

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Preferred minimum one year customer service experience in DME industry
  • Proficient computer skills in Windows, Excel, and other related software
