POSITION SUMMARY Hanbury Manor boasts a magnificent 18-hole Championship golf course which is held in great esteem having hosted European Tour, Ladies European Tour and European Seniors Tour Events. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic associate to join the Golf Operation, who will provide our members and guests a consistently high level of service & hospitality which is befitting of not only the venue but which has placed Marriott International as a world-class leader in the travel industry.  The position has a focus on the combined golf shop and operational duties, and day to day running of the club. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide excellent customer service, is focused and has the capability to work under pressure. The candidate must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends, bank holidays and to reflect the seasonal nature of the business. This role provides an excellent opportunity to acquire new skills within a busy, modern golf operation. It is a benefit to have had previous experience working within golf retail and customer focused roles. What you’ll do  * Provide a consistently high level of service and hospitality to all Members and Guests at all times and in all areas of the Golf Operation  * To meet all criteria required to pass the necessary Marriott audits such as the Marriott Golf Audit & ‘59 Club Mystery Shopper’  * Take golf reservations and ensure that all golf bookings are correctly inputted into booking system, and that revenue is processed correctly  * To assist in general shop and service-related duties e.g. merchandising, stock control, cleaning  * Check-in all golfers and support the day to day management of tee times  * Support the daily management and maintenance of the buggy fleet and operation * Assist with ball control and cleanliness at the driving range  * Ensure that guidelines, as set by the hotel, are followed in terms of sanitization and safety practices with regards to the customer facing areas in the golf operations, equipment, retail, buggies and confectionary  * Carry out course marshalling duties as required   * Ensure guests are welcomed on the 1st tee, carrying out relevant green fee checks and give out necessary information. * Assist with corporate golf day banner management, score card marking, scoreboard updates and any other Corporate / Society Day requests  * Support the successful running of golf days; including being the host to organisers where required  * Support the effective delivery of member competitions and bookings, including handicap maintenance.  Perks you deserve: You’ll be supported in and out of the workplace through: * Discounts on hotel rooms, gift shop items, food and beverage * Learning and development opportunities * Recognition programs * Wellbeing programs * Encouraging management * Team-spirited colleagues * Meals at work * Uniform * 20 days holiday increasing with service plus bank holidays. * Free gym access Come and join us today, and become part of the Marriott family.
