RETAIL ASSISTANT

Due to growth we are looking for a Retail Assistant who can work in family-run shop committed to supporting independent producers and local suppliers, we are able to offer a range of products which you won’t find in your everyday supermarket.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Providing friendly and consistent levels of customer service.
• Help customers find the products they need.
• Preparing and presenting our products.
• Keeping the store clean.
• Applying ‘Think 25’ on age-restricted products.
• Checking the date of expiry on products.
• Placing orders.
• Unpacking of deliveries in a prompt manner

PERSONAL QUALITIES FOR SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE:

• Proven ability to learn new things. We expect the successful candidate to take the initiative, ask questions, look for continuous improvement and be accountable for their actions.
• Working collaboratively with others in the Hunts Supermarket team and with key stakeholders around the business. It is important for this candidate to be able to think of the bigger picture, not just the importance of one’s own agenda.
• Strong organisational, time-management and prioritisation abilities. The candidate will need to be approachable and enthusiastic. This is a fast-paced role which will compliment an individual who thrives in that environment.
