ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you a driven leader with a passion for retail? We’re looking for a dedicated Retail Assistant Manager to join our friendly petrol forecourt station team! As a hands-on leader, you’ll support the Store Manager and take charge in their absence. You’ll oversee daily operations, manage inventory, handle cash, and ensure our site remains clean and inviting for our loyal customers. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Ensure the forecourt operates smoothly, taking full responsibility during the Store Manager’s absence or leave, and prioritising customer excellence.
  • Greet customers warmly, create a welcoming environment and assist with inquiries, product information, and purchasing decisions to maintain positive and consistent high-quality service.
  • Identify and nurture growth opportunities within the team, encouraging internal promotions and skill-building.
  • Manage inventory and stock control to ensure shelves are well-stocked, visually appealing, and aligned with customer needs, while maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet demand and minimise waste.
  • Lead by example in upholding Health & Safety, Food Safety, and hygiene standards, ensuring the entire team adheres to policies that guarantee a safe, enjoyable experience for customers and staff alike.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate colleagues to foster a supportive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and empowered, while inspiring the team to embrace and embody the EG On the Move vision in both customer interactions and internal processes.
