Description The retail store Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store. He or she is responsible for developing strategies to improve customer service, sales and increase store profitability while maintaining high store standards and a positive work environment. Responsibilities Follow and enforce all Company Policies and established procedure in store operations Assist the Retail Manager in maintaining appropriate staffing based on business needs Follow daily operating procedures established by the Retail Manager Coach, counsel, train and discipline employees as needed Complete daily banking duties Maintain quality brand image standards Maintain all inventory, stocking and tracking of inventory Maintain monthly promotions, insure all POS advertising and signage is properly posted Change prices as directed by the Retail Manager Customer service as required Perform other duties as assigned by the Retail Manager and Director of Retail Requirements Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals Ability to follow established processes. Experience and understanding of inventory controls Ability to operate a computer and associated software Ability to handle multiple tasks Strong math skills Education High School education with some college preferred Valid Driver’s license Retail experience, convenience store retail experience is preferred Physical Requirements Able to sit, bend, and reach over head as part of daily office activities Able to hear effectively on phone to take messages and answer inquiries Able to read documents with fine print.
