Description

The position of Assistant Manager provides support to the General Manager and Business Owners in a Retail Cannabis Store setting. Organizational skills and attention to detail is required along with a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced retail environment. The Assistant Manager is responsible for all aspects of the store’s operations. Manages the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure that company standards and expectations are consistently met. Executes our business plan and associated programs that will deliver the desired sales and profit results, while maintaining quality customer service. Interviews, recruits, trains and develops Retail Sales Associates. Manages the operations of the store to ensure new products are merchandised on the sales floor in a timely manner, goods are received properly and maintains tight control of all merchandise in stock areas. This position will provide vacation coverage for the General Manager. This position will supervise employees and provide Customer Service on the sales floor as needed.

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge of a wide range of Cannabis Products and Accessories available in a retail marijuana store.
Required to meet deadlines as directed.
Must commit to working sober at all times.
Ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously with accuracy.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to perform sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/kneeling/crouching for periods of time.
Must be able to proficiently use computers, in-house technology systems and other productivity technology and equipment.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

High School degree, diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Minimum 2 years’ retail management experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities
  • Adopt and follow industry guidelines established by Washington Liquor and Cannabis Board and Spokane Green Leaf, ensuring compliance.
  • Complete assigned tasks delegated by the General Manager on time.
  • Managing the inventory audit program to ensure compliance with WSLCB traceability requirements.
  • Delivering a high level of consumer engagement and meet sales goals while maintaining & elevating brand reputation.
  • Ability to learn and manage multiple customer engagement platforms to create and share media content for messaging and in-store displays.
  • Primary responsibility for employee scheduling and employee management (interviews, hiring, training, performance feedback, counseling and firing).
  • Lead the Intake of Product Deliveries with the ability to accurately count, verify and organize incoming products.
  • Conduct data entry of Product Delivery Manifests into the POS system, ensuring 100% accuracy and completeness.
  • Review each manifest entered by other staff for accuracy and completeness. Audit all products in inventory to ensure uniformity in naming conventions, product details and pricing are consistent.
  • Work with the General Manager as directed to maintain the inventory management system, ensuring product inventory is tracked, audited, re-ordered and stocked.
  • Maintain knowledge of current Industry Brands, products, strains and product types and investigate as new items become available.
  • Work with the Merchandising Manager and Lead employees to ensure floor inventory is properly stocked at all times.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPI) to the General Manager.
  • Attend meetings as requested by the General Manager and Owners.
  • Other duties as assigned.
