ABOUT THE ROLE

The Slimbridge team are looking to recruit a Retail Assistant Manager to work closely with the Trading Manager, you’ll co-lead a busy and vibrant retail operation, helping to shape an inspirational visitor experience that reflects the WWT brand. You’ll play a key role in achieving sales targets, optimising retail performance, and enhancing profitability – all while supporting a team of staff and volunteers.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Deliver a warm, welcoming and engaging retail experience for every visitor.
• Maximise sales through smart stock management, excellent visual merchandising, seasonal promotions, and membership upselling.
• Support and develop a diverse team through coaching, supervision and training.
• Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene standards.

  This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, 5 days from 7, including weekend and bank holiday working.
