RETAIL WORKER – MERCHANDISING & CUSTOMER SERVICE

Location: Bow Garden & Aquatic Centre
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Competitive rates, dependent on experience
Working Hours: 5 days per week, including one weekend day. 9-5.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an energetic and friendly sales person with an interest in merchandising or gardening and/or fish to join our team. Your role will involve creating ‘wow’ displays, helping to run the gift area, providing excellent customer service and advice, and promoting a positive, engaging atmosphere for our lovely customers.

• Design, assemble, and maintain attractive product displays to catch customers’ eyes
• Help drive gift sales forward by taking a lead in this area
• Re-stock shelves and ensure the store remains tidy and inviting
• Assist with caring for plants
• Operate tills and post office tills
• Deliver exceptional customer service and advice on gardening products (and fish care)
• Support stock management and basic computer tasks
• Help carry and load heavy items like compost bags into customers’ cars
• Contribute to creating a warm, welcoming environment for all shoppers
• Be proactive, positive, and willing to help the rest of the team as needed
