Rock Paper Silver is hiring an Assistant Manager.
Staff housing available. We offer 100% reimbursement for ski pass up to $1699 + GST, Summer monthly bonus program May through September and Extended Medical Benefits.

Day to day Assistant Manager duties at a busy retail store include the following:

  • Motivating the team to hit sales targets and provide exceptional customer service
  • Assist the store manager, floor manager and assistant manager to ensure the smooth running of the store
  • Leading the team by example
  • Staff supervision
  • Assist in training of new staff members
  • Merchandising: stock is displayed in a neat and tidy “Rocks & Gems” manner
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the store and inventory control by doing daily, weekly and monthly tasks
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Update the schedule and perform payroll as required
  • Provide verbal and written warnings as required
  • Inventory Adjustments in Smart Vendor
  • Change Runs to the bank
  • Warehouse/Supply requests as required
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Able to work a mix of closing, mid and opening shifts with set days off

The starting wage is $25/hr with a wage review at 3 months.
