As a Retail Assistant at the Whitworth shop you will work as part of the retail team at the Whitworth, a leading university art gallery in Manchester holding an internationally renowned collection of art, textiles and wallpaper. The role will support the running of the gallery shop both in store and online
You will be joining and friendly and passionate team and will support with retail and online management, support Volunteers, Work Placements, and support the Retail Manager with associated administrative tasks. You will participate in team training and development and ensure as part of the team, are able to deliver exceptional customer service.
Even if you have not worked within the cultural sector, if you have experience of customer or visitor facing team, you care deeply about people, our collections, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service, we want to hear from you.
This is a part-time operational role; therefore, it requires someone who is flexible to work any five days, Monday to Sunday, mornings, evenings, (operational hours, 8.30am to 9.30pm) bank holidays and university closure days. When operational needs require, you will help to support off campus pop-up shops and our gallery partner, The Manchester Museum shop.
